Hi RtS Club members from University Hill,
We’ve just come back from Africa and are excited to have a letter and photo from Sarah and Alice to share with you! We are so proud to see them continue to perform well in school, but we were particularly struck by how their confidence is growing, along with all the other girls in our program. We believe this is due to in part to the mentoring workshops we offer our girls every year, but also to the tangible promise of a better future that One Girl Can has given them. As their champion, you are an important part of these girls' journey. Sarah and Alice know that this future wouldn’t be possible without your support, and as you can read, they are beyond grateful for this. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for giving Sarah and Alice the chance to earn a living, help their families escape poverty, and earn respect for the contribution that they and thousands of other girls will now be able to make in their society. Thank you for believing that One Girl Can! With warm regards, Lotte, Gabriela, Nicola, Florence & Irene The One Girl Can Team

A Thank-You Message from the RoadtoSchool Club
The RoadtoSchool (Girls' Education) Club would like to send a warm thank-you to residents of the UNA community for their support for our club's 2018 fundraiser this summer. At the end of August, RoadtoSchool visited the non-profit organization One Girl Can to give all of the funds and messages our club received starting this spring. With the help of many donors, our club succeeded in meeting our target goal of $1,000 to cover the one-year tuition fees, meal and accommodation costs of Sarah and Kavutha, two high school students from Kenya. Beginning this September, Sarah and Kavutha will be able to continue their education without being burdened by the financial costs of attending secondary school; being able to go to school for another year also means that these students are one step closer to actualizing their dreams. The support we received from our friends, neighbours, and families over the course of the fundraiser has provided our club with positive energy, confidence, and motivation. We hope that these will serve to help us in continuing club activities and in raising awareness about girls' education. Campus Resident, October 2018 For the 2018-2019 school year, to improve upon and continue to update our website, the RtS (Girls' Education Club) is inviting students to apply for the Web Designer position. We are looking for students who have previous experience creating, developing, and/or designing a website. If you are interested, please apply for the position through this Google form! The deadline is Friday, Oct. 12th. https://goo.gl/forms/s6g2mpBYGeLd2yEs1
